Terms & Conditions

Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: April 23, 2026
Organization Name: Black Ribbon Organization

Welcome to Black Ribbon Organization. These Terms and Conditions govern access to and participation in our programs, services, website, online community, virtual sessions, social platforms, and member resources.

By accessing our website, applying to join, participating in our programs, or using any of our materials, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Purpose of the Program

Black Ribbon Organization is a Canadian not-for-profit company that provides programs, information portal, and a collective created to unite, support, and empower fathers in Canada through community, shared knowledge, and curated resources.

Our organization is designed to provide general support, information, community connection, and access to relevant resources for accepted members. Our services are intended to help fathers better understand and navigate challenges affecting their lives and families, but participation in the program does not guarantee any specific outcome.

2. This Program Is Not for Everyone

Our program is intended for individuals who align with the purpose, standards, values, and participation requirements of the organization. Not every applicant or participant will be eligible, suitable, or accepted into the collective.

Black Ribbon Organization reserves the right to accept, decline, suspend, or remove applicants or members at its discretion where it determines that:

  • the program is not the right fit;
  • the applicant or member does not meet participation standards;
  • the applicant or member does not align with the purpose of the collective;
  • the applicant or member violates organizational rules, policies, or expectations.

Participation in the program is a privilege, not a right.

3. No Legal Advice

Black Ribbon Organization does not provide legal advice, legal representation, legal services, or legal opinions.

Nothing shared through our website, programs, meetings, social media, communications, support spaces, or member resources should be interpreted as:

  • legal advice;
  • legal strategy;
  • legal representation;
  • a substitute for advice from a licensed lawyer or other qualified professional.

Members and visitors are responsible for seeking independent legal, financial, mental health, parenting, or other professional advice where needed.

Participation in this program does not create a solicitor-client, advisor-client, or other professional-client relationship of any kind.

4. Nature of Our Services

Our organization operates as an information portal and collective support community for fathers. We may share general educational information, community-based support, peer discussions, practical guidance, and curated resources intended to assist accepted members.

All information is offered for general informational and community-support purposes only. Members are responsible for how they interpret and use any information or resources provided.

5. Canadian Fathers Only for Accepted Member Resources

Our primary membership services, curated support resources, and collective programming are intended for Canadian fathers.

Only accepted members who meet our eligibility requirements may receive access to certain member-only resources, support tools, and collective benefits specifically designed for fathers in Canada.

At this time, our catered internal resources and accepted-member services are limited to Canadian fathers.

6. Resources for Fathers Outside Canada

While our accepted-member programming is intended for Canadian fathers, fathers outside Canada may still benefit from general public information shared through our social media platforms, public-facing content, and community awareness materials.

Access to public content outside Canada does not create membership, acceptance into the collective, or entitlement to member-only services or resources.

7. Access to Resources for Active Members

Accepted members may be given access to certain resources, opportunities, tools, programming, or community benefits while they remain active members in good standing.

Access to member resources may depend on factors including:

  • continued participation in the collective;
  • compliance with organizational policies, rules, and standards;
  • ongoing program availability;
  • the member maintaining active status as determined by the organization.

If membership becomes inactive, suspended, expired, withdrawn, or terminated, access to member-only resources may be limited or revoked.

8. Member Conduct and Program Integrity

All members are expected to participate respectfully, honestly, and appropriately. Members must follow the organization’s policies, code of conduct, confidentiality expectations, and community guidelines at all times.

Misuse of the program, misconduct, manipulation, harassment, aggression, abusive language, intimidation, privacy violations, or any behaviour that harms the program or its members may result in suspension or removal.

9. No Guarantee of Availability or Outcomes

While [Organization Name] strives to provide meaningful support and useful resources, we do not guarantee:

  • acceptance into the program;
  • continued access to any particular service or resource;
  • uninterrupted availability of programs or platforms;
  • any legal, personal, parenting, financial, or case-related result.

Programs, services, resources, and access may change, expand, pause, or end at any time.

10. Privacy and Confidentiality

Use of this website and participation in the program is also subject to our Privacy Policy, Confidentiality Policy, and Code of Conduct.

Members and visitors are expected to respect the privacy of the organization, its administrators, and all participants. Member-only information, materials, and discussions must not be shared, copied, reposted, recorded, or distributed outside the program except as permitted by the organization or required by law.

11. Changes to the Program

As [Organization Name] grows, develops, and expands, our services, structure, membership criteria, policies, available resources, and participation rules may change.

We reserve the right to update, modify, expand, restrict, or discontinue any part of the program, website, membership model, or resource offerings at any time.

12. Updates to These Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions will be reviewed and updated from time to time as the program grows and evolves.

Any updated version posted on our website becomes effective as of the date posted, unless otherwise stated. Continued use of the website, participation in the program, or membership in the collective after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms and Conditions.
