Black Ribbon Organization (B.R.O.) is a Canadian not-for-profit dedicated to building a strong, supportive community rooted in brotherhood, empowerment, and resilience. We are committed to uplifting men—especially single Canadian fathers—who are navigating the life-changing challenges of family separation, divorce, and custody disputes.

Founded by Anthony Richards, B.R.O. was created to support men who are going through, or have gone through, similar experiences within the Canadian court system. The initiative was born from a desire to help fathers who often feel overlooked or disadvantaged in parenting and custody matters, particularly in situations where both parents are willing and able to be active, present figures in their children’s lives.

At B.R.O., we provide a safe and encouraging space where fathers can find strength, connection, and support during some of life’s most difficult transitions. The Black Ribbon symbolizes more than power—it represents enduring inner strength, courage, and resilience drawn from the heart and soul. It serves as a reminder that even in adversity, men can rise with purpose, determination, and hope.
